The lathe was well crated however, upon opening, the control panel was disassembled, hanging on by its wires. Screws were missing and we had to to reconnect the electrical harnesses. Re-assembly was a bit of a challenge. The main chuck key was not correct for this machine and we had to order a replacement from Amazon. On the plus side, the machine is accurate and the seller included all sorts of helpful accessories: tool holder, carbide insert, a little boring bar, drill chuck, live center, dead center, wrenches, oiler, etc. One thing that's incredibly nice on this machine is the double pass through chuck. Although we don't use it for pool cues, long dowel shaped parts are held very securely, even such that the chucks don't need to be tightened to a degree that would damage the wood. In the video, we turned a section of hickory with the included carbide insert (which I think is intended for Aluminum). It cut extraordinarily well in wood. Richard Zhang, was very helpful.
